Janet is a talented educator and author who has succeeded in a multitude of different genres, including literary, fiction, non-fiction, and poetry. Janet received her Ph.D in English from the University of Chicago and is President of the Michigan College English Association.
Janet’s fiction picture book for children about bullying, entitled How the Moon Regained Her Shape, has won numerous awards including a Book Sense Pick, Children’s Choices selection, the Benjamin Franklin Award, and a Gold Medal in the Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards.
